Hi! I'm Hannah Barth, a registered nutritionist and NHS nurse with a passion for helping people reconnect with their bodies and build a joyful, nourishing relationship with food. I believe food should fuel, support and bring the balance you need. During this programme, I’m excited to help you rediscover the joy of food while exploring how it supports strong muscles, healthy bones, a sharp mind, and a thriving gut microbiome.
I’m Sue Holden, owner of Exe Nordic Walking. I teach the INWA (International Nordic Walking Federation) 10-step method of Nordic Walking and lead weekly walks for groups in the Exeter area. I’m also an Instructor member of British Nordic Walking. As a former primary school teacher, I’m thrilled to be able to use my teaching skills again for the technique workshops and to be working with Melissa and Hannah on this collaboration. I can’t wait to support you to move more.
Hi! I'm Melissa Noble, founder of The Academy of Wide-Hearted Living. We help people improve their well-being and get more satisfaction from life. We all have questions bubbling away that resurface whenever we’re at a crossroads, moving from one stage of life to another. How do I make the most of my life? What conditions do I need to thrive, to really come alive? Figuring it out can be tricky and I’m here to help. I am delighted to collaborate with Hannah and Sue to bring you New Beginnings, truly taking care of mind, body and soul.
The programme is open to all. The New Beginnings team are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all attendees. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can fully participate and enjoy the programme. That said, our venue may offer some access challenges to people with reduced mobility. Please contact us to discuss if this applies to you.
We're inviting 10 people to sign up for the transformation programme.
Our retreat mornings and days have more space - there are 20 places available on each of these.
We're not setting limits. We're confident that, whatever point people are at, if they stick with us, the programme will help them feel better.
So far, brochures have been requested by people aged 37 - 70. The average age is mid-50's
Absolutely. The programme is designed to meet you where you are now, whether you're a regular walker or haven't exercised for years. The Nordic Walking sessions are gentle, adaptable and focused on building strength, balance and confidence at your own pace.
If you're unsure, feel free to ask, we're here to help. You can contact Sue directly at [email protected]
Yes, definitely. Hannah has some delicious treats in store for us! Teas (inc herbal), coffee + oat & cow milk will be available throughout the session.
We ask that everyone attends the first two sessions, as this is when Sue will be sharing the technique for Nordic Walking.
After that, if someone misses a session, they will still receive all the information and there will be an opportunity to talk things through with the experts.
